Match Report: Game 01 - Everton FC VS Blue Downs Spurs

As both teams prepared to take the field the atmosphere around the field started to become fever pitch with both competing teams chanting their team songs. The crowd raise rapturous applause as the players made their way onto the field for what was set out to be an exciting opening game between Everton FC and Blue Downs Spurs FC.

With Everton FC winning the toss and choosing the side the game was ready to get underway. Blue Downs Spurs kicked off and got the game underway. The first corner of the game was won by Everton FC. The resulting attempt at goal was however unsuccessful.

A promising player to keep an eye on during the tournament is young Denwill Tansson from Blue Downs Spurs FC. He played various key plays in the game and kept the momentum of the team going.

With a free-kick at the edge of the box Blue Downs Spurs FC hoped to open up the score sheet but was denied by the defensive wall. A slip up from the Blue Downs Spurs FC keeper then saw a chance for Everton FC to take a shot at goal but the ball was quickly retrieved by the keeper, rectifying his error. With the game going into half time at a goalless draw Blue Downs Spurs FC seemed to be the team to watch out for.

The second half got underway and Denwill Tansson manufactured an incredible shot at goal but he was unbelievably denied by the Everton FC keeper. With ball possession being in Blue Downs Spurs FC favour, Everton FC made their first substitution in hopes of winning back the ball and getting a bit of a foot hold. Unfortunately the change did little for their attacking play.

The final whistle blew with both teams heading to the change rooms with a disappointing 0-0 draw and only 1 point a piece.
