Match Report: 03 - FC Porto vs Hout Bay United Football

The first game of the tournament kicked off at the Erica Park Sport Complex between Fc Porto of Khayelitsha and Hout Bay United Football Club of Hout Bay.
The game kicked off in a windy Erica Park as both teams were looking to grab the first maximum points of the day.
Hout Bay United Football Club created the first have a chance at goal as Mogamat Toll put in a wonderful cross on the right side forcing the FC Porto goalkeeper Thabang Tsotetsi to exit his area in order to clear the ball, with the Hout Bay United Football Club Durin Phillips advancing.
Hout Bay United Football Club looked very dangerous on the right flank as FC Porto defence struggled to handle the threatening runs of Durin Phillips. The FC Porto goal keeper was again denied Hout Bay the lead once as he pulled off yet another wonderful save after a mind-blowing run by Mogamat Toll of Hout Bay United Football Club.
Hout Bay United Football Club were continuing to push for the 1st goal of the match and they got a free kick on the left flank but Durin Phillips failed to hit the target as he blasted the ball wide of goal.
Leletu Ndzumeka of FC Porto was the 1st player of the match to go into the referees’ book after a horrible tackle on Durin Phillips led to the referee Akho Ndzingo with no choice but to reach for his pocket and give out a yellow card.
Hout Bay United Football Club had yet another opportunity to take the lead after they forced FC Porto into a foul near the 18 area, but once again the opportunity was wasted as Mogamat Toll hit the wall forcing a corner kick. The corner kick found an unmarked Sebenzile Mila of Hout Bay but he frustratingly failed to hit the target from close range.
FC Porto also looking to get in on the action, got their 1st chance at goal in the dying stages of the 1st half as they got a free kick on the right, it was whipped in perfectly by Thandokuhle Nake but Simamkele Guda failed to hit the target.
The 1st half was very 1 sided as Hout Bay United Football Club controlled all the proceedings but they failed to convert their chances as the game went to the half time break goalless.

FC Porto started the 2nd half as the better of the 2 teams as their half time talk seemed to have played a part in them playing with more hunger and desire.
FC Porto made the 1st change of the match taking out Thandokuhle Nake for the fresh legs of Yongama Tume.
The substitution had an instant impact as FC Porto took the lead after some wonderful inter-passing by the FC Porto midfield.
Hout Bay United Football Club, now in search of an equaliser, made their 1st change of the game taking out Kenan Guenantis for Nezario Adams.
More and more Hout Bay pushed for the equaliser, pushing men upfield, pumping cross after cross towards their lanky Nezario Adams, who failed in his mission to hit the target, result of commendable work by an alert FC Porto defence.
FC Porto made another tactical change as they substituted Mogamat Toll and brought in King Utete.
FC Porto had an opportunity to double their lead but their plan was flawed by a vigilant Hout Bay goalkeeper Zinnodine Van Rooyen who came out and made a fantastic stop.
After an entertaining 60 minutes it was FC Porto who walked away victorious, after scoring against the run of play, against a wasteful Hout Bay United Football Club.
