    Match Report - Game 67 - Glendene United vs Bidvest Wits

    Glendene United were the better team in the opening stages of the match, controlling the much of the possession.

    Glendene United had a scoring opportunity through Theo Tutu as went close to scoring but was denied by a wonderful save from the goalkeeper of Bidvest Wits.

    Glendene had another goal scoring opportunity through Sinesipho Ntumbukana but he failed to convert from close range with only the goalkeeper to beat.

    Glendene United were running away with the game as they went close to converting from the same player Sinesipho Ntumbukana but the goalkeeper pulled another fantastic save to stop him.

    Another chance fell for the danger man of Glendene late in the first half but he failed to convert as he blasted the ball over cross bar.

    The first half ended with both teams goalless.

    Bidvest Wits grabbed the lead through what you might call the first opportunity of the game, as Leo Mert delivered a quality cross for Ethan Andrews who headed the ball comfortably.

    Glendene United pushed more men forward in search of an equaliser and this paid off as they equalised through a great finish by Thembelihle Mxunjmi who tapped from close range after a rebound.

    The game ended on a 1-1 draw and it went straight to penalties.
