    Mbalula attack behind Josephs

Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt believes goalkeeper Moeneeb Josephs has put the personal attack directed at him by Sport Minister Fikile Mbalula behind him and is now focused on doing well for his club.

Mbalula did not hold back in his criticism of the national team following their early exit from the Africa Nations Championship, with Josephs singled out as being particularly culpable for the defeat to Nigeria which resulted in Bafana Bafana being knocked out of the competition at the group stage.

Hunt, though, believes the gloveman has shaken off any lingering doubts, telling Football411: "He is training well and playing well, he seems fine to me and I believe he's put all that behind him."

The Clever Boys mentor was left frustrated as his side were beaten 1-0 by Ajax Cape Town on Friday, with Hunt of the opinion decisions are not going their way.

"Obviously as a team we are certainly not at the level we want to be at. We need to improve certain aspects and areas but we are working on it and with time, we will improve," he said.

"Two big decisions affected both outcomes in our two previous matches (defeats to Ajax Cape Town and Orlando Pirates) and I guess we were unfortunate there."

Hunt is, however, hopeful new signings Jabulani Shongwe ,Letladi Madubanya, and Sthembiso Ngcobo will settle down soon at the Braamfotein outfit and start producing the requisite performances.

"Having been here for only a few weeks, they obviously need a bit more time to settle and understanding of how we play, but I'm happy with what they've given," the veteran coach concluded.
