Were in South African trials

AFC Leopards team manager Francis Xavier claims that winger Paul Were is set to undergo trials with an unnamed South African NFD club.
Were was the star of the show as the GOtv Shield holders cruised to a 2-0 win in the first-leg of CAF Confederations Cup second-leg clash with Ethiopian side Defence FC, and his recent performances have reportedly caught the eye down in South Africa's second tier of club football.
The Kenya international is now set to depart on February 22 after Ingwe asked to reschedule the trial in order for him to be involved in the return leg.
"(Paul) Were will be going to South Africa for trials at the end of the month after our return leg fixture in the Confederation Cup," Xavier told Futaa.
"He was to leave earlier but we requested to reschedule his departing time and date till we are done with the fixture."
